I tried CMF's 冬瓜盅 and it was a great success!

This soup took my quite some time and effort to make. My wife wanted to drink this soup again, but I was not prepared to go through all that trouble again. So made a simplified version.
I only used very basic ingredients here, but if you can get your hands on some of the fancier ingredients, go ahead and add them!

I think this is what gives 冬瓜盅 the truely authentic taste and feel. Having said that, I have no idea where to buy this, so I didn't add this.
This recipe portion makes around 2-3 bowls of soup.

步驟
Boil a pot of water.
Dice 冬瓜 into mahjong sized cubes. Frozen shrimps can't be diced, yet. Dice everything else into 1CM cubes.
Except the 雞粉, dump everything into the boiling water. Boil for 1 hour on medium heat.
You want around 3 bowls of water in the end. If you see too much water is boiled off, add some more boiling water to the pot.
Add 雞粉, stir well. Boil on low heat for 5 minutes.
(optional) Take out all shrimps and place into a bowl. Use scissors to cut shrimps into small pieces. Throw pieces back into the pot.
Done! Divide contents into 2-3 bowls.
For better presentation, put winter melon into bowl first. Then soup. Then beef, mushroom, and shrimps on top.
